MIFARE® DesFire®
Mifare® Desfire® EV1 RFID tags chips can store data in up to 28 applications, each with up to 32 files per application. The file size can be set individually and is only limited by the size of the memory (2/4/8 Kbyte EEPROM). The size of the file is determined during creation. Access to the data is controlled by three levels of authentication. Depending on the configuration, the data transmission is encrypted using the 3DES or AES method. Each Mifare® Desfire® EV1 RFID chip has a UID (7-byte serial number) which can also be configured as a random (random UID) output. In our shop, a compatible Wiegand reader with Desfire® EV1 transponder support is available for use in access control. For reading and writing tags with Mifare® Desfire® EV1 chip we recommend the USB RFID Reader/Writer CN67.
